The oil embargo of the 1970s provided the catalyst that inspired the founders of M.E. GROUP to start a firm based on sustainable design principles. While energy efficiency was a short-term focus for most of the building design industry, we remained focused on the goals of energy efficiency and environmental stewardship during the many years that have followed. But beyond just our sustainable projects, we view the green movement as a commitment to every project that we touch. Thus, we have created two distinct practice groups to help you with your projects:

M.E. Group / design services encompass “traditional” mechanical and electrical engineering, but with a dedication to high performance design. Our philosophy is to utilize holistic solutions to accomplish designs that optimize performance within the project’s constraints. Most of the firm’s projects result in buildings that are at least 30% more efficient than today's standards, while remaining within budget and scope. M.E. GROUP / design utilizes tools like BIM, energy modeling, and daylight analysis to develop such projects.

M.E. Group / green provides clients with a range of green building consulting, commissioning, and energy auditing services that result in profitable and sustainable solutions. Since 2003, the firm has administered the certification of over 30 LEED buildings with over 100 additional LEED registered buildings in various stages of completion. Beyond the LEED Rating System, M.E. GROUP / green works to develop sustainable solutions that fit client needs.
