Design-Build
When it comes to construction, it has been said you can have two of the three: quality, budget or schedule. Design-build achieves quality, budget and schedule through an integrated project delivery process.
M.E. GROUP / design has experience and success with all project delivery methods, including design-build. Our support of design-build can be seen in the following areas:
BIM – Our experience with BIM started in 2006 when we utilized BIM for Palmer Ridge High School, a new high school in Monument, Colorado. As BIM software programs have advanced, so have our capabilities. M.E. GROUP / design currently utilizes BIM in approximately half of our projects, and we expect this to increase as more of our clients adopt BIM.
- Quality Control Design - Design-build challenges sub-consultants to think beyond their respective discipline and through collaboration create a design with input from all team members. With contractor involvement from the inception of the project, the resulting design is cognizant of construction aspects regularly overlooked with a standard project delivery.
- Quality Control through Construction - The same team approach is applied through construction with a timely and cost conscious result.
- Fast Track Scheduling – Inherent in the design-built process is the overlapping of phases -- the essence of fast track scheduling. As a seasoned integrated design partner with additional fast-track experience, M.E. GROUP / design coordinates design details and updates with all partners, including government authorities, to ensure a fully coordinated set of drawings at all times.
