Kraft Foods Global Distribution Center
Morris, Illinois
The Kraft Foods Global Distribution Center is a 806,400 square foot food warehouse and distribution center. As the largest LEED-CI warehouse project in the world, it required a highly collaborative environment between the owner, tenant, design team and contractors. The Kraft Global Foods Distribution Center serves as an example of how sustainable design, fostered by a collaborative design and construction team, can provide an industry a new case study of successful project delivery for a new project type.

BMW RDC
Nazareth, Pennsylvania / Minooka, Illinois
M.E. GROUP is providing MEP engineering, LEED, and commissioning services for two ProLogis owned rapid deployment centers. The larger of the two, BMW Northeastern located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania consists of 8,500 square feet of office space and 870,000 square feet of warehouse space. BMW Great Lakes, located in Minooka, Illinois totals over 6,000 square feet of office space and 295,000 of warehouse space.  Both BMW distribution centers features low flow fixtures and a landscape design that requires no irrigation.

ExxonMobil Control Room, Beaumont Chemical Plant
Beaumont, Texas
After being devastated by Hurricane Ike in 2008, M.E. GROUP was a part of a team that rebuilt ExxonMobil’s control room in record time. M.E. GROUP provided HVAC and electrical design to the room and coordinated design/construction with other design team members, OSHA, state officials and other regulatory agencies.

The collaborative effort was acknowledged through a commemorative coin being issued by ExxonMobil.

SC Johnson Regional Distribution Center
Strutevant, Wisconsin 
SC Johnson GDC is a 432,000 square foot distribution center will be the second LEED-NC Gold certified building in Wisconsin.  The building features multiple sustainable and energy-efficient components including geothermal heating and cooling, low flow fixtures, and light pollution reduction techniques.  SC Johnson is awaiting LEED-NC Gold certification.

Sears Regional Distribution Center
Stockton, California

The Sears Regional Distribution Center is a 780,000 square foot build-to-suit distribution center and the fourth largest in San Joaquin County. 
M.E. GROUP and the design team ensured sustainable methods and goals were a priority during the design and construction of this facility.  Ultimately the team’s efforts was acknowledged by the U.S. Green Building Council with a LEED Silver certification.

Tri-State Parkway GDC
Gurnee, Illinois
Tri-State Parkway is a 255,400 square foot building and the first LEED project for both the owner and contractor. M.E. GROUP familiarized the entire team on the LEED process and project requirements, and sustainability goals and benchmarks. Ultimately the commercial and industrial real estate firm’s core and shell building achieved Silver certification from the USGBC.
