M.E. GROUP / green’s commissioning services for existing buildings (often called retro-commissioning and re-commissioning) can cost effectively conserve energy and reduce operations and maintenance costs for your business. M.E. GROUP / green’s commissioning agents can help realize cost savings, and help facility managers make the case for increased maintenance and energy efficiency improvements. Existing building commissioning is a holistic process for investigating, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of building systems through implementation of low/no cost and capital intensive facility improvement measures and ensuring their continued performance. The five phases of existing building commissioning: 1. Planning phase: M.E. GROUP / green identifies your current facility requirements, conducts a basic energy audit and develops building operations and commissioning plans. 2. Investigation phase: M.E. GROUP / green conducts a more thorough building survey, energy analysis, functional performance tests, and begins to implement energy conservation measures as they are found. 3. Implementation phase: M.E. GROUP / green develops a detailed implementation plan that identifies and prioritizes further energy conservation measures that may require capital investment for the owner's consideration. M.E. GROUP / green provides thorough financial analysis that aids in the owner's decision-making process. Throughout the implementation of capital improvements, M.E. GROUP / green verifies successful energy conservation measures through testing. 4. Turnover phase: M.E. GROUP / green develops and implements a training and operations plan that can be used to maintain the building's proper performance. This includes a continuous commissioning plan. 5. Operations phase: M.E. GROUP / green continually monitors systems' performance and reviews trending data to maintain optimal building performance. |
