| Human Inquiry At M.E. GROUP / green, we call the intersection of disciplines (architecture, engineering, anthropology and psychology) Human Inquiry. While sustainable design (and LEED projects in particular) are minimizing the impact that facilities have on the environment, numerous studies have demonstrated that such facilities are not meeting their full potential. Reasons for this variance include improperly used analysis tools, improper commissioning, an incomplete understanding of O&M needs and an inadequate integration of complex interconnected systems – systems that include people. A multi-disciplinary effort is required to effectively address the need for evaluation and accounting of the occupant/building interface. M.E. GROUP / green’s Human Inquiry services provide our clients with the opportunity to better understand how their employees, patrons, and the general public interact with the facilities they own or lease – to better understand how these interactions impact occupant performance and health as well as building performance factors such as energy usage and material wear and tear.
